 It was both thrilling and frightening to arrive in  Korea  for the first time. I arrived feeling anxious and curious, ready to start my new adventure but unsure how to handle everything. After grabbing my bags, I headed to the metro station, purchased a ticket, and located a waiting area for the upcoming train. I was in such a hurry that I didn't realize the train I was riding was an express train going directly to Seoul with no stops in between. This was a big issue since my dorm was in Incheon instead of Seoul. Korean subway station system   I knew I would have to go back to the registration desk and request a refund because I had no other option. Saying anything in Korean seemed challenging because I didn't know much of the language at the time, but I wasn't going to let shame stop me.
