Healthy Diet & Quality Sleep Matter
While training is crucial, health goes beyond exercise. Sleep and diet are just as important for overall well-being. The saying "you are what you eat" holds a lot of truth. Prioritize a diet rich in protein, which supports muscle repair and growth—aim for 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. Avoid excessive processed fats and remember that carbs are essential for mental focus and cognitive function; they’re not your enemy unless overconsumed. Balance these three macronutrients within your daily calorie limit for optimal health.
Additionally, limit phone use before bed, as the blue light can interfere with sleep quality.
